AAUW Wyoming State Annual Conference 2016

1:49 PM

This year's annual conference was hosted by the Torrington-Wheatland Branch and located in Casper, Wyoming! So for the last month branch members and President Day have worked diligently in collecting pieces of Torrington and Wheatland to share with the rest of the state. This included all things local such as packages of Kelley's Beans, a scavenger hunt list, a postcard for a branch member's novel, water bottles, pins, and Table Mountain Wine!

The week before the conference members came together to put the goodie folders and bags together for the big weekend as well as wonderful flower centerpieces for attendees to take home!

A huge thank you goes out to branch member, Ron Laher, who donated the funds needed to purchase the wine from Table Mountain Vineyards. We couldn't have done it without you!

The conference was a great success with state members joining us from Sheridan, Powell, Coy, Casper, and Cheyenne. The conference was held at the Holiday Inn in Casper over the course of a day and a half.

Casper's Mayor, Daniel Sandoval, presented AAUW with  a proclamation recognizing the conference and encouraging Casper's citizens to stand up for equal rights among the genders.
